How Does Torque Release Technique (TRT) Correspond with Assessment and Adjusting?

TRT assessment and care plan can take you step by step to better function, less pain and better health.

TRT assessment and care plan can take you step by step to better function, less pain and better health.

After reviewing the complaint that brought you into the office, your chemical and mental emotional stress levels, the chiropractor is trained to assess nervous system function and the integrity of spinal function.

The Chiropractor will proceed to an examination and evaluate your posture, your spinal range of motion, feel your spine and run a number of specialized tests. If you are visiting a Torque Release Technique (TRT) Chiropractor, 16 additional indicators for finding Primary Subluxations will be performed.

Once all the necessary information is gathered, the Chiropractor will highlight what is wrong with you, how to fix the problem and what it will take to restore nervous system function back to normal or better function.

In a TRT office, the Chiropractor adjusts primary points of tension also referred to as primary subluxations with a tool called the Integrator. As primary subluxations are adjusted, it allows the nervous system to heal and rebalance itself. The overall frequency or tone in which the nervous system operates begins to return to normal.

TRT differs from many of the other chiropractic techniques in that it focuses attention to the “tuning pegs of the spine”. These are the little ligaments that suspend the spinal cord within the spinal canal as opposed to focusing on a particular secondary vertebrae itself. These ligaments are the strategic and vital connection points between the spinal cord and spinal column.

As we gently and methodically adjust or tune these ligaments, the spinal cord changes as well. How is it changing? The adjustments rendered change the degree of tension in the spinal cord and this changes the tone of the Central Nervous System.

The Chiropractor tunes these ligaments to tune your spinal cord to find more beautiful notes and tones for you. The Chiropractor establishes better level of tension, better tone, within the Central Nervous System. This ultimately means better function, less pain and better health.

Using your feet, the Chiropractor will be checking for areas where the nervous system is being affected by Primary Subluxations and will deliver an adjustment using the a tool called the Integrator. This tool makes a click sound and will feel like a quick impulse or tap in the area begin adjusted.

The tool based adjustment reproduces what the hands were intended to do but with much more specificity and less force than ever possible by hand. The advantage of the Integrator is that it can change the specific frequency or tone of the nerve endings in the spinal column, exactly where nerve function has become irritated. You can liken the adjustment with the Integrator as a booster cable jump start for your nervous system which is the body’s electrical system.

TRT is not a technique that manually stretch or contorts you to realign your body. It is a technique specifically aimed at stimulating your nervous system in such a way that it will release and reduce tension, assisting your body to self-heal.

It is worth repeating, TRT focuses attention on the Primary Subluxations which are the ligaments that suspend the cord within the spinal column. They are considered the vital connection points between the spinal cord and spinal column. As the Chiropractor, gently and methodically adjusts these areas of your spinal cord, the adjustment changes the degree of tension in the spinal column to change the tone of the Central Nervous System.
